Love at first site in the showroom
Kitchen the source of mom’s smileThe living room is a spacious place for the family to gather. At the Takara standard showroom, Mrs. H found her dream kitchen—the all-white Lemure system kitchen—that would look out on the living room, and she knew immediately she had to have it. So enamored was she with Lemure that after going to numerous companies’ showrooms once, she went back to the Takara standard showroom four or five times to see Lemure.
She convinced her husband that this was the one, saying no other kitchen could get her this excited preparing meals every day. Mrs. H loves cooking, and the kitchen is where she can make meals while helping her children with homework and otherwise interacting with her family.
“I liked its color and how it was so much more stunning than others we looked at. With a dishwasher under the sink, I can do the dishes without getting the surroundings wet. The enamel makes it a breeze to take care of, so my husband can easily clean the stovetop and exhaust fan to ensure our kitchen maintains that just-bought look.”

Regular barbecues in the large backyard
Always a happy crowdThe H family previously lived in a rental apartment. When the children started elementary school, Mr. H had a single-storied house with a large yard built in the town where he was born and raised.
They wanted lots of large south-facing windows that would let the sun in to provide a bright, open space.
Mr. H enjoys entertaining friends, so they regularly invite former school mates over for barbecues. “We host about 10 barbecues a year. Sometimes it’s quite the lively affair, with around 30 people including my friends and my wife’s friends, and their children. Usually the other husbands and I take care of the cooking, the wives sit inside and chat, and the children play outside. We once had a rice-pounding party where we made special rice cakes. We steamed the rice and then pounded it with a mortar and pestle. We rolled the pounded rice into balls inside the house, so afterwards the living room was covered in flour.”
The H family likes getting together with neighbors to do things—it’s a close-knit community—so their house is always ringing with laughter.

Soaking in an enameled bath and sipping fresh coffee—moments of supreme bliss
Mr. H looks forward to his bath at the end of each day to relieve his fatigue. His parents’ home also had a Takara standard kitchen and bathroom, so he’s well aware of the heat-retaining capacity of enamel. That’s why Takara standard was his first choice for his new home’s bath.
“My wife and kids take a bath at about 7 p.m. The water in the tub is still warm, even if I don’t take a bath until midnight, so there’s no need to warm it up again. It’s easy to clean, and a joy to soak in.”
Bath time is one of Mr. H’s cherished moments, as is a delicious cup of coffee, made with beans freshly ground in his kitchen.

Takara standard—with the family for every moment of love and laughter
The H family members all get along well, and they wanted a washstand big enough for the two children, and sometimes Mrs. H too, to brush their teeth together. No other companies offered products large enough, so they chose Takara standard because it had everything they wanted, such as lots of storage, a trifold mirror, and a full-length mirror.
“We wanted to teach the kids to be independent from an early age, so we needed lots of storage in the bathroom area so they could take out their clothes and get dressed by themselves. Previously we only had a full-length mirror in the closet, but there’s now one in the changing area so we can check our overall appearance,” Mrs. H said. This will ensure she always looks her best.
The family wanted to spend as much time as possible together, with play space not just in the children’s bedroom but in the living room as well. This play space includes Emawall, on which the children can draw whatever they like. Whether it’s play or study time for the kids, or tea time for mom and dad, the H family enjoys sharing this large, bright space.
And forever an integral part of these family experiences of love and laughter is Takara standard.
