Matte-finish kitchen matches the home’s interior
The U family completely renovated the former home of Mrs. U’s parents so that Mr. and Mrs. U could live there with their daughter and her family. The result was their ideal home: suitable for raising children while also boasting a simple and comfortable living space.
One feature they had their hearts set on was the open kitchen, which allows a person to cook while facing and talking with family in the living room. And just like when choosing furniture, the U family chose a kitchen design that matches the interior of the rest of the home, going for the matte-finish Rusty Brown color. Everyone is extremely pleased with how the refined color and texture match the home’s Japanese-style mood.

A kitchen with plenty of storage, low maintenance, and beauty that lasts
The U family was determined to have backwall cabinets in their kitchen. In addition to the generous storage space, they like how contents are hidden for an aesthetically pleasing sightline from the living room. Mrs. U appreciates this when guests are over and she can simply close the cabinet doors to hide the clutter inside.
The lasting beauty of enamel was why the family chose Takara standard over other kitchens they looked at. They prioritized ease of maintenance and durability for the kitchen, a room they use every day.
And it’s not just the enamel—other parts like the worktop and range hood are also quick and easy to clean. The result is that Mrs. U is enjoying cooking more than ever.

Emawall makes the living room the children’s play area
The minute they saw Emawall enameled interior panel in the showroom, the U family knew they wanted it. They’re now using it more than they imagined, such as for drawing pictures on and hanging photos with magnets.
It’s become a playground for the grandchildren, who start drawing on it as soon as they wake up. Enamel means even oil-based pen marks can be wiped away with a wet cloth. Because an entire living room wall is now a drawing board, mom spends less time putting away toys, and the girls’ friends love coming over to play.

Life in modern Japanese style
Relaxation for the whole familyThe U family are proud to live in a house where everyone feels relaxed and at home, a house that exudes modern Japanese style yet retains the elements of the original abode.
Mrs. U loves being in the kitchen and looking out on the other family members gathering place in the living room. There’s truly a place for everyone here, whether they’re listening to music while cooking, enjoying casual conversation on the sofa, or soaking up the sun in the external corridor.

Washstand with generous storage gives everyone enough room
The U family chose the 120-cm-wide washstand with sliding drawers for its plentiful storage and enough space for multiple members to use at the same time. The choice fulfilled their wish to have lots of storage space for the future, since growing grandchildren means more things will need putting away.
The acrylic artificial marble counter doesn’t get dirty easily and is a breeze to clean. A visit to the showroom sold Mr. and Mrs. U on the matte-finish Concrete Dark color, and their daughter loves the LED-lighted makeup mirror.
